The January 2013 Honolulu On The Move newsletter highlights the Full Funding Grant Agreements $1.55 billion in federal funding and the ruling from the U. S. 9th Circuit Judge A. Wallace Tashima.
The ruling puts a hold on construction work in the downtown portion of the project until the additional court required studies are finished. That includes studies on a tunnel under Beretania Street, the impact of the project on Mother Waldron Park as well as on some cultural sites along the route.
